HONG KONG – May 14, 2019 – SteelSeries, the global leader in gaming peripherals, has launched the Arctis Pro Line raising the stakes in premium headset performance for gaming and entertainment on PlayStation 4, consoles and PC. Also announced today is the general availability in Hong Kong of SteelSeries Rival 650 Wireless, a groundbreaking wireless gaming mouse, and SteelSeries Stratus Duo, a full-size, multi-platform controller.
For the first time, and together with AOC and Philips, there is a SteelSeries pop-up store at LOG-ON ToGather @ Festival Walk from 9 May to 23 June 2019. The SteelSeries pop-up store will feature all their gaming products and give customers an opportunity to try and buy.
Arctis Pro + GameDAC
The Arctis Pro Line’s flagship model, the Arctis Pro + GameDAC, is gaming’s first certified Hi-Res Audio System, ensuring gamers hear high-fidelity, full-resolution audio in its purest form.
Priced at HK$2,399, the Arctis Pro + GameDAC ensures high-fidelity 96kHz/24-bit and features the legendary ESS Sabre DAC and amplifier, and performs as high-end audiophile equipment allowing gamers to experience the pure joy of high-fidelity audio.
The SteelSeries GameDAC is a dedicated high-fidelity USB DAC and amplifier specifically made for gaming transforming any PlayStation 4 or PC into a high-performance audio source by bypassing the low fidelity, poor quality DACs found in typical consoles, USB headsets and PC sound cards. The power of the ESS Sabre chip inside makes bass sound tighter, individual sound effects more distinct and with the support of DTS Headphone:X 2.0, creates pinpoint accurate positional cues
The GameDAC also features an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen for easy access to settings and controls without the use of additional software. This means PlayStation 4 gamers can fully customize their EQ, toggle surround sound, configure their headset illumination as well as see their volume and ChatMix levels, without using a PC.
Arctis Pro Wireless
The Arctis Pro Wireless is a dual-wireless gaming audio system that uses a USB transmitter for wireless 2.4G lossless audio and Bluetooth for mobile audio, and, unlike the Arctis Pro + GameDAC, the Arctis Pro Wireless features the swappable dual-battery system first introduced by SteelSeries with the Siberia 800 and Siberia 840. Each battery has at least 10 hours of power for a combined 20 hours of gaming.
Gamers can use both the 2.4G and Bluetooth connections simultaneously for maximum flexibility, including gaming while using Discord chat or listening to music. The Arctis Pro Wireless headset connects to the wireless transmitter base station via SteelSeries’ 2.4G connection.
This provides lossless and ultra-low latency wireless audio with up to 40 feet of range. Auto-channel hopping technology ensures the headset will always find clean RF space for interference-free performance. Arctis Pro Wireless is available for HK$3,199.
Rival 650 Wireless
Incorporating the groundbreaking TrueMove3+ dual sensor system as its primary sensor and a second optical sensor to exclusively track lift-off distance, the Rival 650 Wireless is the first wireless gaming mouse to feature fast charging. When connected to a USB port that supports fast charging (and depending on the mouse’s RGB lighting profile), a five-minute charge will give over three hours of battery life, and a 15-minute charge will provide over 10 hours of battery life.
In addition to the wireless capabilities and precision sensor technology, the Rival 650 Wireless features a Quantum Wireless 2.4GHz wireless system with 1,000Hz (1ms) polling for incredibly low latency and to ensure a strong, consistent wireless connection. It also features customizable side-loaded weights for users to tune their center of gravity with 256 different weight combinations for the perfect balance for any grip or play style. The mouse comes with eight included 4g weights. The Rival 650 Wireless is priced at HK$1,099.
Rival 710 (wired)
The Rival 710, priced at HK$799, builds on the original design and adds the high performance and accuracy of the TrueMove3 sensor and 60-million click switch durability. Alongside these new features, the Rival 710 still uses tactile alerts for immersive gaming and an OLED display for notifications and customization. The Rival 710 is also fully modular and comes with a modular cable system.
The Stratus Duo
Gamers can now swap between a low latency 2.4GHz wireless connection for gaming on Windows, and Bluetooth for mobile gaming on Android, Oculus Go and Samsung VR without additional software, thanks to the Stratus Duo multi-platform controller.
The Stratus Duo mirrors the familiar size and layout of console controllers, and a new trigger design featuring Magnetic Hall Effect sensors that keeps triggers consistent and precise. The controller also includes high performance clickable analog joysticks that feature minimal dead zones and smooth operation. The controller is powered by a lithium ion battery for 20+ hours of play time and includes a Micro USB cable that is 1.8 meters/5.9 feet in length.
The Stratus Duo is priced at HK$659.
